Yoga Retreats
One of the greatest joys in my life is to lead yoga retreats. This is something I’ve had the privilege of doing for over 15 years.
It’s fabulous to visit stunning retreat centres, with high vibration nourishment and find inspiration and space to be. It feels like a miracle for me, to witness participants immerse in their yoga practice, unwind on all levels and become a more expanded versions of themselves.
Away from daily life, there is an opportunity to explore facets of yoga that we may not normally have time for and so gain a life enriching experience. Over the years, apart from the actual yoga, I have prioritised creating a welcoming and accepting group dynamic in which we can all grow together.
I really hope you can join us sometime…
Kate is one of the most amazing Yoga teachers that I know. I am hoping to go on one of her retreats again, as they are wonderful for body and soul. Maybe we can even welcome her back in Ireland at a retreat here in Blaney, let us hope.

Uncover Your Heart’s Truth in La Gomera, Canary Islands
13th – 20th April, 2024 | From £845 per person
I feel honoured to regularly lead retreats at this exquisite and very special centre.
La Finca Argayall was a mono culture banana plantation when some truth seeking spiritual aspirants took it over about 40 years ago. A community was created dedicated to growth and expansion. As the community evolved, so too the land and vegetation gradually grew into one of diversity.
I don’t think it’s easy to live in community, though they sincerely try to support each other and run the wonderful retreat centre at the highest vibration. I have made good friends there over the years and as soon as I walk through the little front gate, I feel any stress and tension I have sliding away.
There are two pools and outdoor eating at what’s charmingly called ‘The Piazza”. You’ll find little hide away lush places and a hammock or two, be serenaded by the constant sound of the ocean, and inspired by the dramatic backdrop of the fiery cliffs. La Finca is truly elemental.
The food is exceptional; the table laden with fruits at breakfast and multiple salads at lunch. Another thing I personally love about being there is that there are regular extra sessions, so on top of our schedule, it’s possible to join mediation, dance and different yoga classes.
Ok, it’s not a breeze to get to, you do feel as if you have made a real journey, though most who get there feel this makes it all the more precious.
Retreat Programme
The morning classes will gently expand the body & breath & build into a flowing dynamic sequence, before returning to stillness. Each session will primarily focus on one of the chakras ~ exploring the associated physical, energetic, emotional and mental qualities. This awareness will allow you to develop strength and flexibility while gaining valuable insights that nurture your life.
The afternoon sessions will explore the space from which you can hear your heart’s messages. Through the chakra and elemental systems, freeing movement, sound healing, yin yoga, mantra, singing, meditation and more. You’ll be encouraged to connect with your heart, light up your intuition, and ignite the fire in your belly, ready for aligned action!
There will be one yoga free afternoon during the week to allow time to take a trip or rest and restore. There will also be the opportunity to join the Finca’s own meditations and other offerings should you so wish.
“I have just come back from one of the most unique and rich ‘holidays’ I’ve had. ‘Holiday’ is in inverted commas because it felt more than a yoga retreat. The location is secluded. Raw and beautiful. Nature abundantly folds itself over you wherever you go. Whether it’s the roaring waves, the volcanic stones, the lush plants or the nourishing meals. Kate’s yoga was both nourishing and challenging. I miss it. She is a wonderful and talented teacher. I feel so lucky to have tasted life as a guest on the finca and I can’t wait to come back!”

A Regenerating Week at La Roane, in the South of France
23 – 30 July, 2024 | Pricing TBC
What can I say about La Roane? I’ve been returning each year for about ten years and feel like part of the family now. Having said that, Anna and her father Nigel have a knack of making everyone feel at home.
There is a great sense of fun, nurturance and healing at La Roane. There are trips for the active: canoeing and river swimming and the more gentle picnicking and sight seeing in a nearby mediaeval village. Another highlight is the Sunday outing to the market with stunning fresh produce and artisan foods and crafts.
Italian chef Enzo captivates and entices with his lovingly prepared vegetarian lunches and dinners. In the French mid summer, the refreshing large oval pool is a delight and a place where you can quietly read or get to know your fellow participants better.
I live in the ‘treehouse’ when I am there and we have instigated the tradition of the treehouse party ( don’t worry we stay on firm earth) with much joviality and even dressing up!
Oh yes, in case you’re wondering, we do practice yoga! Twice a day in fact ( some breaks for the outings) and I encourage you to immerse as deeply and sincerely as you can in your practice.
I think that the amount of returnees is a testament to how much this fabulous week means to people and how many great friendships are formed there.
Booking link coming soon.
“I’ve been thinking back to my holiday and I can only think of laughing, I honestly think that I laughed more in this last week than I did in the whole of April. It was so good for me – since being home I’ve carried on laughing, so much so that my daughters have commented on it.”

A Peaceful Week of Yoga and Sunshine in Almeria, Spain
24th – 31st August, 2024 | From £895 per person
This stunning venue is on the edge of the Cabo de Gata offering a peaceful setting with a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Almeria is Spain’s sunniest region and one of the least visited. The venue is on the edge of one of Europe’s most remote and beautiful natural parks, the Cabo de Gata, with a wonderful wild coastline. It’s an amazing landscape of perfect half-moon bays, hidden coves, bizarre volcanic rock formations and spectacular flora and fauna.
The charming local village of Nijar is within walking distance and can be seen across the valley at the foot of the spectacular mountain backdrop. Almeria airport is just half an hour away.
I will offer two yoga classes each day. The morning class will offer meditation, pranayama and a flowing asana class to gently open the body and attune the mind to the breath. Allowing space for the body and mind to expand, strengthen and feel lighter.
There will be time set aside in the day to take in the stunning beauty of the surroundings, relax by the pool, head off to the beach or take a walk.
The group will meet again in the late afternoon for a more relaxing and restorative practice. The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience. There will be one yoga free day and no yoga on travel days.
